Kirk Franklin leaps to Erica Campbell's defence

Erica Campbell recently released a song entitled 'I Luh God' and it doesn't seem to have gone down well in some parts of the Gospel music community.

Erica who is one half of Grammy-winning group Mary Mary has set out on a solo career but her latest single has received criticism for sounding too worldly and club like. Kirk Franklin had this to say;

“It’s very hard when you hear churches talk about you, and some people start to question your heart, and when some people start to question your motives, it could be very hard for you because you’re in your early 20s and you don’t really understand what all the fuss is about, because you’re doing just what’s real to you.“I am very, very good friends with Erica, and she has a great heart for God, she has a great heart for ministry, and I just believe that the heart always wins” – Kirk Franklin

Check out the single here.
