By Premier Journalist

Selene Jordan of Premier Gospel exclusively announced the MOBO nominations for Best Gospel Act on Sunday’s PG Breakfast show. Nominees were announced on the airwaves and the UK Gospel community began congratulating the artists as anticipation met excitement.

The nominees for Best Gospel Act in no particular order are Lurine Cato, Triple O, S.O, Volney Morgan & New Ye, and Mali Music. Each of those acts have had a fantastic year, releasing quality material that has had the fans talking.

Lurine Cato released an album called ‘Chosen to Serve’ which had her lead single ‘Power’ on it. Triple O’s album ‘Zero Not Equal to One’ was rolled out during a fantastic campaign which included a live show, and S.O has blessed us with a host of singles. Volney Morgan & New Ye are tipped as favourites having had an amazing year which has cemented them as one of the best live performers in the UK Gospel circuit. Mali Music from across the pond tops the list as a credible U.S artist who’s album ‘The Transition of Mali’ was well received.

The winner will be announced at the third annual Pre-Mobo Awards Show held in London on Monday 20th November, which specifically is devoted to the Jazz, Gospel, R&B/Soul categories. The main event will take place in Leeds on Wednesday 29th November. For more information visit beta.mobo.com
